Busquets born in 16 July 1988. Currently, he is a FC Barcelona player and newly Spanish national team player, Played as defensive midfielder or central defender, he is a backbone for FC Barcelona defense.
In 2005, he joined local FC Barcelona's youth ranks, scoring 7 goals in 26 matches for the Juvenil A team in his second season. Two years later, he was promoted to the Barcelona B team under Josep Guardiola and helped the team promoted to the third division. After his performance in Barcelona B team, Guardialo decided to included him in FC Barcelona first team in July 2008.
On 27 January 2011, he signed a contract extension with Barcelona, keeping him at the club until 2015. The buyout clause was increased to €150 million.
