On Barcelona official website, Cesc Fabregas has officially signing on a five year contract for FC Barcelona. "Cesc has signed a contract that will keep him with Barcelona until 2016".
Barca will pay an initial guaranteed fee about 29 million euros and another 5 million euros if Barca win two league titles or a Champions League crown in 3 years. Surprisingly a further 5 milllion euros is to be paid by the midfielder himself out of his own salary. The release clause is believe about 200 million euros.
Barcelona already bid twice for Cesc Fabregas and were told by arsenal to up their offer. In the end, arsenal admitted defeat, and willing to release Cesc Fabregas but in some conditions.
Sandro Rosell said, "We have paid 29 million euros for Fabregas. We said that we wouldn't pay more than 30 million euros, so we have every reason to rejoice"
Asked about his protracted exit from Arsenal, Fabregas said, "I'm disappointed and upset about it because I have had a great relationship with the fans over the years. It took time to build this and I'm disappointed I could lose some of them". "All I have are words of gratitude. I'll never forget what they have done for me, I gave absolutely everything to the club and I think they know that but it was the right time to come back here.
