Spanish Super Cup 2011 |
The Spanish Super Cup 2011 had been waited by all football fans around the world. The battle between couch(Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola) is so tense that even Mourinho don't wants to talk to the press anymore. Maybe because of several occasions before, he decided to keep his mouth shut....
Well.... back to the usual part...
Unlike Barcelona, Real Madrid quite prepared in this Spanish Super Cup match. They had won 7 friendly match out of seven with their starting 11 players... Perhaps, Mr. Mourinho wants to tasks the cooperation between player. However, for Barcelona, friendly match not really matter as the starting eleven we saw was occupied by young player. There are far from their best and missing more players because of injury. That is means, Barcelona not quite prepared in this match.
"Based on the chances created, the fairest thing would be a draw," Iker Casillas told TVE after the match.
However Barcelona managed to win aggregate 5-4 against Real Madrid in this match. However after the match about to end, Marcelo tackle to the back of Fabregas. This is really bad as we know Fabregas has injury problem and the tackle look so harsh.
By responding to this matter, Gerard Pique claimed that, "I hope the brawl isn't what is talked about - it's a shame," Pique told reporters after the match. "It's not the first time it has happened and it's always the same players.
There was also an incident where Mourinho purposely poke Tito Vilanova, the Barcelona couch assistant. On the altercation between the two men, Guardiola said: "The images speak for themselves. There are things that should not happen in football [and this is one]."
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola left frustrated by Mourinho's antics, and Pique believes the Portuguese has gone too far. Pique said the Portuguese's antics was actually destroying spanish football.
"I think he is crossing the line and the limit, and he needs to be stopped," he said. "We can't end up like this every time at the end. If we do, things will get worse."
