Andres Iniesta |
Born in 11 May 1984, he is a Spanish football player. He currently plays as a midfield for FC Barcelona and came through La Masia, the Barcelona youth academy. He made his first-team debut in 2002 in the aged of 18. During season 2004/2005 season, he started playing regularly ever since.
In the Final World Cup 2010 when Spain vs Netherlands, he scored a winning goal in the match and also being named Man of the Match. He celebrated the goal by showing the name of Daniel Jarque. He said: "I did it because I felt it deeply. It showed that what is more important than rivalry, your team or your colours is to be human and a good person. I am delighted because it was the most important moment in my career."
Iniesta was named fourth choice captain behind, Carles Puyol(1), Xavi(2) and Victor Valdes(3). In the 18 October 2010, Iniesta was included in the candidates for the prestigious Ballon d'Or alongside his teammates and also the winner of Ballon d'Or it selves Lionel Messi.
