He is born in 11 January 1982. He currently plays for FC Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga and was the most successful goalkeeper in Barcelona's history. 


Valdes come from Barcelona B and joining the full team in 2002-03 season. Just like his teammates Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and others, he came from FC Barcelona B and joining the full team in 2002-03 season.


He has won the Zamora Trophy 4 times and currently has contract with Barcelona until 2014.
